Our Book of the Week Is...

Blind Judgements
by Pauline DeFiore Boesl

This is a story about a daughter, her parents and the man she met. She felt this was the man of her dreams who could offer both her and her young son a wonderful life. Her parents noticed this man seemed odd in his mannerisms, attitudes, behavior, and his unrealistic stories, yet he seemed sincere. Many times this had been mentioned to their daughter to no avail. Eventually, they made plans to marry. He made promises and claimed he always would provide for her and her son. Her parents were happy for their daughter, even though they had many doubts; they felt she knew what she was doing. After all, she was an adult. It was her life, not theirs. It wasn’t until the days approaching their wedding day that all let loose. Their daughter would finally have to face the truth about this man.
